Greetings from windy Kenosha, Wisconsin! Today brought a change in plans as we woke to high winds and pummeling rains. So much for the hike! There was actually a tornado that touched down in Racine, which is just 8 miles from here! Tore the roof off the the Case tractor plant and did some other damage but no major injuries thank gosh. It was a good day to have no major travel plans.
So after going back to sleep when I heard the rain on the window, the agenda for today was pretty relaxed. Went and got an oil change and tire rotation (I know, I know - it's a pretty glamorous life I am living but it was due!) and then picked up some lunch. After lunch Wren and I worked on staining all of the wood for her windscreen project in the garage, did a little laundry and then we just sort of hung out. In one sense I was glad to embrace the quietness of today as I know that there may not be too many of them down the road!
So in honor of my lazy day and the crazy weather in Wisconsin, the song for today is "Blowing in the Wind"! Just going with the whimsy of the day!
