One week on the road!

Hard to believe that it's been a week since I left Salt Lake City!  The time has actually flown by!

Busy day today.   Went on a run this morning, even though the winds were still pretty strong - much nicer going south and east than it was either north or west!   Then my sister Wren and I got her new windscreen put up.  Looks pretty nice - see the pictures that I posted on here this afternoon.  (They should be just to the right of this on my blog)    Finished up by changing a few old, dated electrical outlets out for her and then it was time to get things packed up for the next round of adventures on the trip - off to Madison tomorrow!

But tonight we actually went to a fundraiser at the Milwaukee Zoo, called Zoo Brew.  (My reputation proceeds me!)  It was a great event and we had a great time, sampling beers from about 7 different breweries, along with all kind of foods from local restaurants and a whole dessert section too.  (Note to the Salt Lake City Zoo who had their first Zoo Brew this year too - this one was WAY better!!)   Think my favorites were a Raspberry Saison by Stevens Point Brewery and one called Naughty Scot Scotch Ale by Rock Bottom.   Tasty!   But how could you not love a brewery called Horny Goat!!!  Great food too - everything from stuffed mushrooms and sliders to French bread with artichoke spread to Red Velvet cupcakes!!

So now as I take my full belly to bed to dream of heading west to Madison, I leave you with my song of the day, which is "Rehab" by Amy Winehouse.  Okay, maybe I am really not THAT far gone, but I am noticing that wherever I go, people have beer waiting for me......... should I be concerned?!
