Wow, it suddenly hit me today that I leave in just over 48 hours and I haven't even begun to pack! Not sure how one packs for a month on the road but if you run across me more than once, don't be surprised if you see me in the same thing again. Don't worry, I promise I will wash it! And I do know that those I visit will let me do my laundry. I think the biggest challenge will be packing for everything from 70's to possibly even running into some snow by the time I get back! Thank god I have a truck that I can throw all kinds of stuff in!
While there is much to do, my gratitude continues to burst at the seams. I have gotten so much encouragement from friends and family that it's kind of overwhelming. Several people have fun things planned when I am there - perhaps I shouldn't divulge them all and make you read each day to find out what I have been doing!
I changed the song up today too. It's a song called "Before I Go" by a bluegrass group from Alaska. We discovered them at the Snowbird Mountain Music Festival last year and I fell in love with their music. This song seemed very appropriate for the days leading up to my departure. So click on the link above, sit back, relax and enjoy the song!
Hey Connie - sorry I missed the beginning of all this - I was out town. From my experiences last year when we were on the road for a few days short of a month, I could have hold you that you pack for a week and be sure you find the laundromats! Most motels have them though, you should be sure to always have a $10 roll of quarters.
